I cleaned the turmeric rhizomes thoroughly, dried them and cut them into small slices with the skin on and then sun-dried them some more.
Finally, turned them into turmeric powder with the help of a local vendor who has the mixer machine to turn them into dry dehydrated powder. 😃

My first year of gardening i grew a bunch of hot peppers jalapeños, birds eye chili, and Carolina reapers just 2 of each. Used the others in food normally but knowing the potency of the reapers I turned about 20 or so peppers into powder.. opening the lid after grinding was a mistake! Still worth it lasted 2 years and a pinch could spice a entire dish throughly.
I put ground turmeric in almost all my meals it’s such a good flavor and yours looks perfect!

Is it possible to keep the dried turmerics whole and only grind them when you need some powder? I’ve never grown it before.
