I cannot actually help with this question, but I’m rooting for you on this. My ammak is just growing up, no branches yet. But how exciting if so!
Unpot that now and see if it has any roots. Nothing good happens when plants turn black…
Looks like the tip may have terminated due to damage, in which case it will start pupping out .
