my first time gardening this year from my 8a balcony garden!

we got black krim & sweet 100 in 10.5 gal grow bags, pruned the lower leaves and planted it deep-ish, companion planted marigold & basil, mulched with wood chips, fertilized the planting hole with organic granular 4-4-4, & watered it all in. trying two support options with 6ft bamboo sticks and twine.

how did i do? any tips welcome!

That’s a lot of companion plants for a small bag. I would of went with 1 companion, or maybe a single marigold and a single basil that I kept trimmed.

However,it looks beautiful and if you treat it well you will benefit from your hard work.

Nice work! Enjoy your bounty! 🍅🍅🍅

  3. That’s a lot of water thirsty plant in one pot. Marigolds, Basil, and tomato will drink up tons of water. You will have to water daily to keep the soil from getting dry too quickly

They look great! As others have said, I probably would have done a single companion plant in each bag. How big are the bags out of curiosity? They’re taller than what I use so I’m guessing 10?
