I cut down my leggy yucca and I saw this video talking about propagating the trunk stumps. He left them in water and even watered the tops sometimes.
To experiment I peeled back some and left the others with the harder yellow shell. They all rotted and smell bad within a week☹️ I cut them down again where there is no mold visible but I assume the same will happen again…
I guess our climates are too different, as I leave in a humid but not sunny place.
I guess I should try soil next
