Food prices continue to rise, and for many households, grocery bills are becoming harder to manage.
In this video, we add two more raised garden beds to our home setup, bringing us to a total of five beds dedicated to growing fresh produce. The goal is simple—reduce grocery costs by growing more of our own food at home.
We’ll continue expanding this garden so we can rely less on expensive store-bought produce and more on homegrown ingredients.
If you’re interested in food savings, self-sufficiency, and lowering your grocery bill, this is a practical way to start.

  1. You used the word oasis to describe your gardens, it's a perfect description. Your yard is beautiful. And the whole greenhouse covering for your garden planters is pure genius. You will have so much good stuff to eat.

  2. I would love to live in a mild climate where I could grow fruit and veggies year round! I bought an inexpensive comparison shopping tracker off Etsy to track the prices in my area. I plan to save the weekly ads over the next few months while I eat through my stockpile of meats and figure out those rock bottom prices. You’ve inspired me!

  3. Your yard even sounds cool and peaceful! Thank you for inviting us on the tour.
Do you garden through the summer? What grows in the desert summers? In Florida, I cover crop with heat resistant tropicals, and take a break.

  4. great job!, next time you do a bed you may chose to do a Hügelkultur method. Saves you some dirt and $….you just fill in the bottom of the bed with branches, sticks (even logs if the bed is deep enough) leaves, grass clippings (without seeds) compost….anything that will rot…it will displace some of the dirt and when it rots it will feed the soil and takes up space….I have a several beds that are 3 feet deep and I put full on stumps in them. I do a lot of gardening and food preservation myself…we have to stick together! Have a beautiful day.

  5. Beautiful, beautiful as always. You certainly have that green thumb mister. Scorpions and snakes, I shiver to think about them. Love the new addition to the garden. Been in the pool yet? ❤❤❤

  6. When I lived in California and used to get flown into Arizona for photo shoot😂 my friend’s pool was like bathwater. Too warm for me a few months out of the year. After a shoot while they were swimming. I would speak with their Nieghbor. The neighbors had gorgeous gorgeous plant greenhouses. We were in our 20s. They were in their 50s.
They had fans Jeff to circulate air in their greenhouses.

I love talking to older people then now I am one lol

We talked about Billings greenhouse and the Billings family I knew from my hometown. Who also had fans in their commercial greenhouse.

They said it’s great for encouraging the plants to grow as well as
Keeping moisture and air circulating for consistency.

Just an idea for you they’re very cheap and I do see nowadays they even have those little solar fans

It’s so darn humid here in Florida. I never use them in my greenhouses when I had my greenhouse .

Oh my Lord that trash it irks me it’s occasional. I have a multi million dollar corporation 70 feet across the street from me.

White trash pig, lazy employees trash every day. I have to pick it up and if I don’t, I’ll pick up even more tomorrow.

It was Las Vegas, Nevada when I was a young 19 year-old. Where I first saw cement fences. I love those black fences.

I dragged my feet I was taught that by a forest ranger drag your feet stomp them every once in a while, snakes and scorpions will move away from the vibration, knowing that it is a stronger one than they make. Now the rules like all rules work most of the time of course there’s always those damn Rulebreakers snakes are scorpions that get around. I just sprayed a couple days ago. During our rainy season, I sometimes spray two or three times in a month.

Your paradise your oasis you’ve cultivated Lovely so very lovely it is💜

  7. Geoff what do you use in your insect spray. I pay $104 to have the exterminator come every 2 months. I have a dog too. Looking to cut out everything I can.

  8. Here in the NE UK we’d struggle to grow the crops you can, but nevertheless it’s still perfectly possible to enjoy a harvest provided the weather is kind. I generally grow greens – spinach, peas, kale of various kinds – and berries quite successfully. The secret I think is to grow what you can, rather than what you wish you could!

  9. I m wondering if you have enough soil in your beds to grow veggies like asparagus, tomatoes and peppers? It is my understanding they need more root room. Or perhaps that is in New England where I live?

  10. Lovely tour of your blooming beautiful garden again, so serene visually and with calming sounds of water and chimes – love it! Next project – a compost so you can make your own soil to save on those soil bags?
