I've kept houseplants for years in numerous varieties with only two giving me recurring problems.

String of pearls and begonias.

I had three beautiful begonias for about two years but their health was very up and down and I fought to find consistency. I've easily watched over a dozen care videos and feel like I've done everything I've come across, but ultimately I always end up losing them. I picked up this guy today and really don't want to repeat the failure process, so any and all tips are welcome.

They enjoy more light than you’d think (mine are in a west window, zone 5). Chunky and well aerated soil. Prefer shallow and wide pots but don’t over pot. High humidity if possible but be mindful of not getting water directly on the leaves.

You just really need to make sure the soil doesn’t dry out, if it does they will wilt and die fast

Sitting in a west facing window burned my begonias, so I keep them in an east facing window now. I put them in a 1:1:1 ratio of perlite, vermiculite, and peat moss. They like to be moist, but not waterlogged. They are very dramatic and hate drying out completely.
