  1. Perfect timing! I just planted two new fruit trees, a Victoria European Plum and a pie cherry, the name escapes me. Thank you 🙂

  2. This is fantastic information! Prune prune prune! My fruit trees look so much better after I got over the fear of pruning ❤

  3. You share very useful and helpful information. I also have a garden, and I usually spend my weekends taking care of my plants too.

  4. I want to see how you address the straightness of the main trunk… Do you just put in a taller central leader support and tape or pincher-pin (with a spring-type clothespin) to the taller support? Or, do you use guy wires to a cage of short posts around the central trunk? And, do recall that there are non-spring type clothespins that are NOT suitable for your approach to branch training.

  5. At the 8 min mark, you don’t want 2 branches at the same point. They should be staggered. Othewise it’s susceptible to breakage.

I’ve been finding $23 fruit trees at Home Depot (Roseville, MI). I got 4 this year so far to replace some old ones.

  6. Building milk crate raised beds around my lemon tree, Seth Lemon Meyers, and I want to try as much of an espalier style training on him as I can. I also have a lime tree, Sublime Santeria 😂

  7. Ah, the mighty little clothespin, it has so many uses. I also use them like a chip clip to keep my chip bags shut and to close the bag of cereal to keep them fresh.
