Leaves are hardened off. I did apply paste to the wounds and rooting hormones to the top cut. From my understanding, pods can dry out quickly, so I'll need to stay on top of it. Here's hoping.

    How cool! Are the shoots in the pot from the main root system or are they separate plants?

    Can you air layer off of a grafted maple? Curious if the roots develop well or it needs that different root base. Maybe they graft only for easy cultivation to sell..
    I’m doing my own first air layer from the root base growth on my bloodgood.

    What substrate used? Make sure and keep it hydrated, but not soaked.

    Can I ask why you’re air layering? Just to get the trunk shorter?
