I am not new to plants, but I am new to trying to understand variegations. I have a Nuclear Congo at home, I ordered a Red Hot Congo from BWH plants and so of course Google starts showing me other plants I may be interested in and I came across someone selling a Yellow Congo but they also kept calling it a Nuclear in their posting of it and their description is a mismatch of all the key words. I have seen some opinions online that the yellow is the same as the green, I have also read that the Nuclear and the green are the same but the Nuclear just has more stable variegation.

As far as I can tell they’re the same. I know nuclear and copper flame are the same. Different growers give the same plants different names.
Green Congo ‘Copper Flame’ is BWH’s version of this variegated green Congo, they even mention on their website that you’ll see it called nuclear. If you’re interested in this plant I would just get it from them since they are so reliable. I mean This listing says this is a ‘mature’ plant but they are 2’-3’ wide and tall at maturity so there’s no way that’s true
Yep they are the same. Mine put out a leaf that was half yellow , half green and as it’s maturing , it is turning half dark green and half lighter green.
