Hi all, my monstera just started unfurling its newest leaf, and it is totally damaged!! š¢ what do I do? Itās the only new leaf right now, and itās clearly hurt. I have a grow light on the plant as you can see, and I have it currently set on a 12-hr timer on the lowest light setting to supplement the sunlight it gets (east-facing room, window shrouded by large trees outside). Itās in a āself-wateringā pot, I fill the bottom and it waters itself. I bought it at a store (Target) a few months ago in this pot so Iām not sure what the soil is, but I did give it a small squirt of fertilizer about a month ago. The plant has seemed happy and healthy to me otherwise up to this point, Iāve just never had an entire new leaf come out like this. Iām sure I hurt the leaf as it was starting to grow while installing the moss pole or something.. but what will best help the plant carry on? Do I prune it? Leave it be? Just want to do right by this poor baby. Thank you in advance for any advice!

This looks to me like what happens when the plant is dealing with too much moisture.
I suggest abandoning the self-watering and water thoroughly when the foliage seems a bit droopy. I know you’ve got a grow light, but I also suggest increasing natural light.
Monstera like their roots to be dry(ish) in between watering. A self-watering pot will keep it moist at all times, leading to root rot. You can leave the leaf on if you want, the damage is already done and will likely not spread. If you dislike the look of it you can consider cutting it off.
