Putting my coffee grounds in the eggshells. It makes it easier to transfer, doesn't make a mess and looks oddly satisfying.

My family thinks I'm crazy for doing this. What do you guys think?

Yes, absolutely. You keep doing whatever weird things make you happy

Weird but fun weird rather than psychopath weird

  3. I do not get how this can be less messy than putting everything in a bowl and walk out with it.

So yes, I thi k it is wierd. But if you have fun – do it!

Finally. I was craving a dirt omelette for breakfast.

Your used coffee grounds are dry?

  6. OccasionFlaky4121

“Doesn’t make a mess” ..meanwhile coffegrounds all over the surface lol. You do you as long as you clean up afterwards if you’re sharing the place with other people.

  7. Jealous-Report4286

How do you pee in them without the grounds going everywhere?

  8. Adventurous_Camera90

Use it for fertilising your home grown plants, used coffee is the best fertiliser for the grass also

I never thought of putting grounds in eggshells. I just put beans in my ears.

You’re asking if it’s weird to do this …. In a subreddit that probably gonna tell you to pee on them too.

    Weirdest K-Cups I’ve ever seen.

When are you going to plant the seedlings?

That is what I expect next.

  13. Alternative_Policy24

    Doesn’t make a mess?

  14. Do you then eat them? If so, yes it’s weird. If you then put them into compost totally normal

This guy thinks putting coffee grounds in eggshells might be weird. Wait till he hears about all the peeing we’re doing.

Weird is cool 🙂 keep doing weird stuff, being normal is boring

It still looks like it makes a mess

The shells will take ages to decompose, I used to put them in without further breaking – still early touched years later.

Now I pop them i to the oven when its on to dry out ank cook any bacteria and then put them through a grinder to turn them to dust and give the largest possible surface area.

You could just put the coffee grounds into a paper bag and throw that in whole – carbon and nitrogen in one package.

Waaaait, you gave me an idea, mix coffee ground and dirt and use it for growing something into a seedling? Would that work?

I’m curious about logistics. So you use the shell like a spoon to scoop the coffee out of the brewing aparatus? If you make filtered coffee of some kind, usually the filter will provide a nice “bag” for the grounds

  21. drtij_dzienz

It keeps the eggshells from stacking and allows them to break down properly

Quirky, fun, & odd, but keep being you. An alternative is to boil the shells, baking them, grind them up and use them as a cleaning abrasive. But then you wouldn’t get to make you family think you are a little weird.

Family thinks it’s weird then just take the coffee grounds and cutting board and eggs into the bathroom and do the egg packing on the toilet in secret really quietly when you think nobody is around

It looks like a nice unique activity. 🌻💚🌅
