Hello. My beautiful rufibarba may have spider mites, I think. There are no webs and I can't see the little creeps, although my husband thinks he saw some legs, but nothing moving. I've sprayed her with a mixture of Dawn, water, and alcohol. I won't use Captain Jack's on her because it destroyed my makoyana. So, any thoughts on what is eating the life out of her beautiful leaves? And how to heal her? Thank you for your help. PS, she's only in the garage so I can spray her. 😏

A couple of my calatheas (and alocasias, philodendrons, etc ) had spider mites this winter. I was able to thoroughly rinse my plants off every few days and that really helped me to get rid of them. I didn’t use any insecticidal soap or alcohol sprays. I hope you’re successful at eradicating them. Pest issues are horrible 😭
