In Part 2 of this backyard garden project, I:

* Realized 15 bags of soil gets you… basically nowhere
* Ordered a truckload like a completely reasonable person
* Learned that berries are way more high maintenance than expected
* Planted pollinators, pest deterrents, and probably a little chaos

  1. Raspberries will shoot runners all over your garden. They should be well contained unless you want them growing feet away anywhere they decide.

  2. OMG that Looks so pretty. Did you put the Blueberries in a container? If you plant them in the soil they will die, although you put acidic soil in the whole. The Worms and microorganisms in the soil will re-mix normal soil with the acidic one. And blueberries don‘t Like ‚norma’ soil at all.

  3. Love it! I’m on my gardening journey too. I have my raised beds in but am looking for an arch. Can you link the one you decided on?

  4. Plant mint they really help keep mosquitoes and centipedes away. However i highly suggest you plant in them in pots i learned that one the hard way unfortunately lol and now i have about 10 pots of mint planted around my house and the smell when the morning dew and the wind blows through is absolutely amazing. I’m currently thinking of planting lemongrass on flower beds on the south and north facing windows so the smell carries through the house when i have my windows opened

  5. The husband's garden looks practical while the wife's garden are more anesthetic.

I kind of am abit of both. Love the practicality while making it look pretty.

  6. Setting up an irrigation system will make life so much easier! I thought it was going to be so hard but it’s super simple ❤ beautiful set up

  7. From a pest prevention and harvesting set up, yours appears to be easier to keep up with. Although I love them both.

  8. The design is very nice. I see it a lot popping up everywhere. Please fill your soil beds up more they havent even settled this season. You're asking for problems.

  9. I got a irrigation system at Amazon very easy to set up comes complete and you can manually irrigate if you feel that the plants needs more water

  10. Beautiful. All my berries ( blackberry, raspberries, marion, huckleberry, and blueberries like the same soil but different light.🫠
