I just sent it,

I got a 36" ring from Walmart for $40 I left a panel out so it's about 30 inches diameter

Step bits at mardens for 8 bucks each(absolute steal)

Got the blocks (22) from Lowes for about 50 bucks (only used 21)

The 3/4" crushed stone from the recycling center for about 50 for 1 cubic yard. I used about .9 of it

I had to rent a U-HAUL truck to get the stone there and that cost 60~70 bucks for 20 miles and the insurance

Other tools used :
Shovel (flat and spade)
Wheelbarrow
Tamper
Metal rake
High heat spray enamel
Drill
Chisel/ malet to knock off the rear lip on the blocks
Gloves and eye pro

Things I wish I had
High heat black spray paint
Sand paper or a file to scrape off the bits of metal left from drilling (I used a rock)

I hope that’s some kind of fancy crushed fire brick inside there.

You could make this a smokeless fire pit pretty easy

Did you buy this as a kit from a store? I’m looking to make nearly the exact same pit.

Looks like a firepit for ants. Need to stack those blocks about 4ft high and get some logs in there.
