I recently had my lawn redone and had no issues last year but this year I am starting to have issues with weeds.

I’m under the impression the neighbours lawn is causing me issues because this is the only side of my lawn where I have weeds growing.

What can I do to remedy this? Should I separate the lawn with some bricks? Any suggestions?

If I’m looking at that right, it’s bishops goutweed (among other names). It is a terror (commonly planted in yards on purpose) and there are Facebook support groups for it.

Before you choose a solution, check if it spreads by runners or seeds.

Who cares if you never mow anyway. But if you want a solution, mow your grass 2x a week.

Every lawn is always gonna get weeds. Your neighbor isn’t helping, but it’s not like it’s the only reason. Mow more frequently and use a broadleaf spray.

    Mow often.

Spray a selective herbicide for what’s come up and investigate pre-emergent for what hasn’t yet

Put down an 18”’wide stone / rock planting bed along your lot line as a buffer and set some nice planters along it = nice buffer from weeds and a pretty addition to your yard

Put down dithiopyr or prodiamine pre-emergent on your side and 90% of that would have never appeared to begin with. For whatever does appear, spray with speed zone or tzone herbicide. No overseeding for 3 to 4 months after you put down one of those pre-emergents so be mindful of when you apply it.

What can you even buy to kill weeds since it looks like 2,4-D and mecoprop banned.

Mow and get a weed puller

If you can get ypur hands on some Par3 it should kill most everything other than crabgrass (doesnt seem to be your problem) and not effect your grass. I got a buddy who has a liscence for herbacides so he orders it for me. Im thinking youbmight be able to order it from out of province

Don’t cut the grass too short, keeping your lawn thick and healthy is honestly the best way to keep weeds out

Dino Dana’s house?! A diplodocus must be right around the corner to help you with your weed problem. Good luck!
