Still have some beds to fill but finally getting plants in the ground. Only rhubarb, celery, and mint so far. But also planted some seeds in a couple beds as well. Hopefully I didn't kill part of my mint haha. Tried splitting it in half and didn't do the best.

You can’t kill mint, and it will take over the entire bed it is in and you will never be able to get rid of it.

    Looks good though!

I grow lots of types of mint and I always sink it in containers as it spreads vigorously which can be difficult to control.

My advice is cut the bottom off of a large pot and bury it in the ground. Plant the mint in that. It stops it being able to spread its runners and the mint looks planted and can take up as much nutrients as it wants. One or two runners might still escape each spring but it’s much more manageable.

This dude planted mint on purpose…

Mint is highly invasive. It will take over everything and will never die. Strongly suggest planting in a pot so you can contain its root system. Trust me on this.

Lots of people with advice about mint! Didn’t see you asking for advice. I’m only going to say that there is only one feeling better than planting and “getting plants into the ground” and that is harvesting and enjoying that. I hope you get a wonderful harvest aand enjoy 😄
