This is my first pink princess, going strong for almost a year now. Saw a brown/yellow spot on one of the leaves and another leaf was brown/yellow, very soft and came off easily when i inspected it. I was told it might be a sign of root rot. I checked the roots and i cant really tell if they're a healthy colour or not, the roots aren't mushy and lots are still firm. It's also still growing new leaves. This plant was store bought as a gift and I haven't repotted it yet.

Don’t be wierded out, just smell it. If it’s rot, you’ll definitely know! If not you’ll just smell the earth.
That’s not root rot. If rotted they’ll be slimy, the surface will be sliding off, or they will be incredibly weak and dangly. Run your hand gently thru them and any that fall off were likely rotting
