I’ve been keeping orchids for quite a while now, but for the past year, I’ve been showering them once a week. In my opinion, it’s honestly the best way to water them.
What is your favourite method for watering your plants?
I bring mine (I have about 30) to the sink and either top water or soak, depending on if I’m fertilizing or not

I just finished watering mine. I live in a small apartment so soaking in their decorative pots is best for me. I also have some soaking in the sink because I don’t have cover pots for them. I usually leave mine out of the cover pot for about a day or so to make sure there is no standing water.
I soak mine in roasting pans full of fertilized water. Some advise against watering plants together but it’s what I like to do. I gotta ask though, what is that reddish pink flowering plant on the left?? It’s pretty

From the top of the media for indoor and outdoor for potted. Plain water sessions outdoor get showered by the hose, showers the foliage and waters. Greenhouse is set with misters on a timer for twice a day. Bare rooted hanging in the garden tree has a sprinkler set on a timer for 1-2 times a day depending on the heat factor. All my outdoor areas have good airflow almost always and greenhouse has fans.

I just leave mine sitting in a 1/2” to 1” of water all the time.

I carry mine to the shower and soak them every other week. It is pretty moist up here in the Pacific NW.

I bunch mine together on the floor of the shower, turn both showerheads to barely luke warm, and let them enjoy a good rainfall for 5-10 minutes. Then they sit in the humidity afterwards. They seem to love it. Never had an issue with crown rot or anything, and they’re in a orchid medium with a bit of moss mixed in.
