I posted last year on easiest way to build out a BBQ pit. Framed out with some wood, laid down tarp and added pea gravel.
Pretty happy with the result. Will probably add a few pavers in there as well.

Shoot man, put some 4x4s in the ground, add a tin roof and make yourself a little all weather grill shack!
Glad you’re happy. Pea gravel was like the worst possible choice here, but at least it works for you.
Edit: also, hard to tell but that does not look like pressure treated lumber nor cedar, so that’s going to rot out in a couple years. Sorry.
