So I have this plant, that has great sentimental value to me, and she is NOT doing good:((
(The last picture attached is her in February 2023, where she was doing much better)
She’s 7 years old, and has moved around with me through the years. At the moment she’s near a south facing window, but does she need more light?
She put out new top leafs last summer, but even they are starting to fall off now 😢
I water when the soil feels dry, and the pot she’s in has drainage..
Is there anything I can do for her? I haven’t seen any pests on her.
If I were to take cuttings from her, where would be the right place to cut?
I appreciate any help I can get, please help me save some of her 🫶

The long bare trunk with leaves only at the very top is classic for a schefflera that’s been stretching for more light over time. Even though it’s near a south facing window now, if it spent years in lower light spots the damage is already done, the plant dropped leaves it couldn’t support and put all its energy into reaching upward.
The good news is scheffleras handle direct sun well. Push it as close to that south window as you can and give it time. New growth should come in stronger and more compact.
I would chop it, Plant the part you cut after it callouses and give it more light.
