I have a tree in my front yard that is beautiful, but the insides of the tree look dead, how should I handle cutting /trimming? Should I cut off the dead looking branches? I also need to start taking care of the garden bed to push back the rose bushes. I appreciate any and all advice in advance! Thank you!

It’s a Japanese Maple, this is how it’s supposed to be. Enjoy! These are very expensive trees that take a lot of time and effort to get into this shape!
Any tree looks like that from the inside. Mind you none of us would be a thing of beauty viewed from the inside 🤔
The tree looks gorgeous to me I’d leave it alone. Just check that all the branches do have live growth on them. Any that have no fresh growth can be removed.
The roses look like a ground cover variety. They don’t need much looking after. Just cut out any dead or decrepit branches and trim back a little in winter. Although they’ll also respond well to being cut back hard if you feel you must. It would rejuvenate them.
