Just picked up this little beauty today!
Do they make good candidates for Bonsai? I was trying to find guides online for them but couldn't find anything. Well at least not for this variety.
Whatever the case, I love the way this looks!
I'm also not 100% convinced these weren't miss-labeled Hinoki Cypress.

I love these so much. I have two of ‘em in training. I messed up a third by overpruning. So go easy on it.
Best tip: it has a sorta spruce-ish tendency to grow long branches from the bottom upwards. Snip those off or wire them level, because they will mess up your silhouette otherwise.
Second tip: it stacks branches on top of each other sometimes and they then fuse, creating a really weird bulge. Be on the look out for that too.
Edit: this is deffo a Primo. It’s a trademarked species by some german company.
