I absolutely love photographing flowers in contrasting light: these are from this afternoon. Any advice on flower photography would be very welcome.

Photography is my hobby and I love it. There is so much information out there the best advice for me would be that youtube is your friend. There is a photography club locally and they meet regularly. There may be something like that in your area, i found this one on fb. When I started, I buried myself in as much information as I could, and learned the basics, lots experimenting with different settings is a terrific teacher. There’s so much know, and for me, the ability to ask very specific questions to people who can address them was invaluable.

Gorgeous, but the iso seems to be a bit too low or the frame light intake time is slightly too low.

If this is the style your looking for, go for it. But if you want it too look actually 100% realistic, the pictures 1 and 3 are a bit too dark. Comparing the colours and brightness on the screen and in reality with your eyes usually helps to find the best values.
