I don't have any spectacular photos. I just need to tell someone who understands that my Princess Argentea has FINALLY begun to grow leaves!

I got her in July 2025 and she has had the same 2 leaves she came with until now.

I was afraid she had flat mites or a fungal issue or maybe was just a zombie plant.

I tried everything to encourage her to grow. I bought a microscope to see if she had some unauthorized residents. I scrubbed her with a toothbrush. Over the last 10 months I have treated her with neem oil, alcohol, fungicide, insecticide, and peroxide. I cut the scraggly soil roots she came with and put her in water. She grew beautiful water roots but still no leaves.

After a few months, I put her in spaghnum moss and encouraged her to grow soil roots. And apparently she did because she now has 3 new growths! THREE! And they're fuzzy. I didn't know they would be fuzzy! 🥰

Now I can look forward to growing a beautiful plant. ☺️🙂

Congrats! It’s always great when they show signs of life after making you wonder for ages.

This one has taken the longest out of all my hoyas to root and show new growth. But once it gets going it is so rewarding.
