Is it OK to grow some small crops inside of clean, empty food cans? I want to assume that if the container was OK for storing food, it would not be an issue to grow microgreens/herbs? Any thoughts?

i’ve done this for herbs and edible flowers in a restaurant sized tomato can. just punch some holes in the bottom for drainage and it should be ok.
