Rabbits are the bane of my existence. There’s a nest in one of the planters on my porch with 5 babies, so I can’t plant flowers in it yet. They dug all under the roots of my young apple tree so now it’s falling over. Every time I open the door I see them eating my tulips or whatever they are snacking on. Can’t find anything that consistently works to keep them away.

Ugh you just reminded me that they cut off all of my clematis last year. I’m trying more chicken wire this year and a rotation of every type of repellent/ fox urine/ anything else I can find. I used the pepper spray on my tulips and alliums but then a few rainy days washed it away. Yesterday I got some repellent I haven’t tried before and put it down, we’ll see if it helps.

It’s my favorite time of the year when people post surprise baby rabbits in gardening subreddits.

I bought 29 inch raised beds to hopefully avoid this 😲

Oh my goodness, it’s like a built in playpen! 😂 the babies can explore but not get very far.

Ah man, my strawberry bed recently got mounded and pushed up a decent chunk so now im wondering if I have a den. I figured it was some guy burrowing but theres no exit and it hasn’t compacted back in the way a mole tunnel would have. Also definitely have a bun sampling a small bite of all the good and ripe strawberries too.
This what I get for donating the underside of my shed to the local rabbits, give the bastards an inch and they take a mile! Haha

How tall is this bed, if I may ask? I’m hoping to get one for strawberries in my backyard but there’s always a chunky rabbit out there. I’m planning on sacrifice plants but I’m sure the little stinkers will be insatiable.

I’ve been trialing a new deer repellent against bunnies. So far our resident rabbit has been living in harmony with the hostas, strawberries, and lettuce in the little test garden. A few nibbled leaves on the one on the right from before I sprayed them about a month ago.
Oh man, last year we had this problem! We have a fenced garden area, with chicken wire fencing dug a bit into the ground to keep out the bunnies.
Come spring though there were baby bunnies everywhere, trapped inside the fencing! Terrified of the weed whacker and eating everything and causing chaos. Found the DEEP burrow the mother bunny had dug under our fencing, and the little nest she build in our whiskey barrel planter of chamomile.
