I think rhubarb is a taste you either love or hate.
We had rhubarb growing in the backyard when I was a kid. My mom made great tasty apple pies, but I always knew when she sneaked in rhubarb into the pie. Bleh. I think she also actually put in more sugar to mask the sour and bitter taste of the rhubarb.

When I was a kid me and my brother had strawberry rhubarb pie for the first time and it was so delicious! Our neighbor brought it over and told our mom it was grown from their garden. A couple weeks later my brother snuck over and broke a piece off of a big rhubarb plant and split it with me. Imagine our surprise when it was just about the most sour celery taste ever, we were so confused! Every time I see rhubarb pie I think of that 😂

Rhubarb pie is awesome! Its a funny plant isnt it? Its a vegetable, but we use it like a fruit. The only part of it that isnt poisonous is the stems and even then only if they are ripe and colorful. But we eat it anyway.
