Not totally sure what was here before we moved in last year, but I have no clue what would look nice in this spot. Can someone give me some ideas?
Preferably something that isn't too crazy to maintain. My husband typically does the yardwork, but he is away for a week or 2 at a time for work. So either something that doesn't take frequent maintenance, or something that I can do myself (which would mean frequency isn't an issue but I need my hand held to learn what to do😄)

I love your raised bed! I’d make it smoother and oval shape. I’d remove the grass and add dark mulch. Some rounded evergreen shrubs, tall grasses native to your area and perennials for softness.

A really beautiful and stunning tree that fits your local environment. Maybe a full-sun full-size Japanese maple. Maybe a cherry or pink hawthorne. Really focus on a glorious tree. And plant some cherry trees near the house and maybe along the road.Â
