Checked on my terrarium that has springtails in it and it has 100s of these things that do NOT look like springtails plus theyre climbing up the glass and they look much more like some kind of mite?? Theres so many and idk how i only just noticed but i opened it for a minute and they were teeming quite a few crawled out in the short time i had the lid off. Theyre like dark coloured with a mite-like appearance. Rounder body and 6 legs i would say? Im so mad because i noticed only after i used it to impliment springtails to another terrarium. Sorry only mildly freaking out i just dont like the idea of foreign bugs in my room.

just keep the lid on for now, cant get bugs in your room if theyre stuck in the jar:) idk what kind they are but im sure an expert will chime in soon
