I have this random spot on the side of my house. What can I line it with instead of this wood that were here when I moved in?

   Creeping Thyme would look nice

   If I were looking for new edging, I might put stone or brick in a straight row to separate it from the driveway and create a bit of a barrier curb. The wood still usable as edging though if you need to start small. Then some pretty ground cover (the aforementioned creeping thyme or something else suitable to your zone) or a trellis of something that climbs.
