Oh wow. I have one in my garden with the same height and spread, also pruned into a standard. It’s absolutely humming with bees and other pollinators. I never imagined it would reach this size when I first planted it a decade ago.
I have a clematis Aoteroa planted nearby that scrambles up through the canopy and blooms in summer after the blue of the ceanothus has gone.

We have one too, although it’s just finished now. I hadn’t realised how big it could grow either.
