What companion plants do you pair with tomatoes? 🍅👇
Here is my top 3 🌿🌼
🌱 Basil helps repel whiteflies, aphids, and even makes it harder for hornworms to find your plants. I like planting it on the west side to help shade the soil and act like a living mulch ☀️ My favorite variety: Large Leaf Italian Basil 🌿
🌼 Marigolds help repel root knot nematodes while attracting beneficial insects like ladybugs and hoverflies 🐞✨ My favorite variety: Sparky Mix Marigold 🌼
🌿 Chives and garlic chives release sulfur compounds that help repel aphids and mites while helping reduce fungal pressure too 🙌 My favorite variety: Garlic Chives 🌱
These 3 are always in my tomato beds every season 🍅🔥 All from Park Seed @ParkSeed 🌱

Can you have basil in separate pots next to tomatoes? I guess the marigolds or the chives in separate pots wouldn't give the soil the needs mentioned. I have several peppers I'm growing too.
Peppers and cilantro, cause pico is good.
As a companion plant for tomatoes I would recommend shrub basil, like african blue. They grow into beautiful plants and if you cut them right, they ensure airation around the tomato stem. Also their flowers are beautiful and edible, tasting just like the rest of the basil plant. (:
I use Marigolds(French dwarfs)& Thai basil. I love Thai basil for my Phò specifically 😊. I haven’t had any pest issues.
Marijuana they love being next to the tomatoes and the tomatoes mask the terp scent
I have garlic in the front, and onions and marigolds in the back of my tomato row. It’s more a “gotta find room for all my stuff” thing but also a good idea while I’m at it. I always like to plant some flowers to aid in pollination anyway and the seeds I save from the marigolds keep me in perpetual growing of them. Zinnia and cosmos too.
Cat makes everything looks better 😊
Pizza pizza plant
The hornworms are eating my basil actually
Parsley in the same pot and onions near by
Thai basil?
Those adorable high pitched meows!
The frost got my basil and some of my tomatoes. Time to start again
Last year my basil was devoured by some red beetles! (Junebugs I think?) So this year I’m going to try just having even more basil around, hopefully catch a ton before they move in fully.
Someone that I watched a week or so ago had a video on marigolds, and mentioned that it has to be the French Marigolds, the other varieties don’t have the same properties.
Can chinese chives be a replacement for the chives in this companion planting video clip?
Are the meows also part of the prevention of bugs?
I plants marigolds basil and onions around my tomatoes and peppers and asparagus
