I guess I'm a bit overwhelmed by so many stems and the height (and sad about the lack of leaves in the middle). I literally need a big ladder to dust the leaves as the plant is inching towards 4 meters height, so I need a bit of advice here.
The Fiddle Leaf came with the place I moved into a year ago. The previous owner brought it in about 3 years ago and it dropped almost all its leaves back then. Since then it hasn't stopped growing but it's getting very top heavy.
I'd love to get some branching in the middle, so I'm leaning to a chop and prop. I'm inexperienced in this matter and don't want to lose all the nice top foliage, but I want/need to reduce the height by at least one meter to be able to properly care for it and there are barely any leaves from there on downwards.
I also read about air layering, water propagation and cutting in above a node to promote branching. I wonder what method would work best for my case, so any advice on how to take care of this huge baby would be highly appreciated!
