Waimea, the Central Pacific Bank Kauai Interscholastic Federation champions, earned the Division II No. 3 seed for the tournament and gets a bye on Wednesday, facing the winner of the Kapolei and Kailua high schools Wednesday match.

Divina Plowman, the Student Activities coordinator at Kauai High School, said the tri-high talent show, Kauai’s Rising Stars, takes place today, at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall. Tickets are available at the door. A craft show takes place starting at 4 p.m., and the show starts at 6 p.m.
