My first and only Alocasia is this lovely Dawn. I’ve had it a few months and it’s doing quite well. It recently started sprouting new growth from the base of its stem. I’m not quite sure how to remove/propagate these since I’ve never had an Alocasia before. Do I simply chop them at the base of their growth? Then what? Water prop? I have some fluval stratum on hand if that’s suitable?
TIA for the advice!
(As an aside, if anyone has any advice for why the white portions of the leaves are turning pinkish brown I’d appreciate it! I’m not sure if it’s too much light or something else?)

Definitely leave them on for now at least. They’ll help make your plant look fuller in the future. Plus, it is really difficult to propagate alocasia from leaf cuttings.
