Howdy, I'm new to house plants so I thought I would start with a challenging one. I have had this plant for about a month. I placed it in a south facing window and left it alone to acclimate to its new home. There is a new leaf with a crispy brown spot on it. Can someone tell me why this might be happening? The soil it came in never really seemed to dry out, so I thought it might be root rot. I repotted it in a chunky mix of potting mix, perlite, and orchid bark 2-1-1. Then I thoroughly watered. Looking for advice.
