I tried to resolve a drainage issue along the fence and the gate by digging a channel and putting drainage rocks and then covering it with concrete stepping stones, that seems to work well. But now I get puddles on the grass right before the gate because of the way that part of the yard is leveled. What options do I have to prevent this puddle? Should I try to level part of the yard that is sagging or dig a drainage channel towards the gate to connect to the existing drain?

Maybe add soil and then more grass seed so its no longer sunken in?

A shallow swale guiding water toward your existing drainage setup would likely fix it cleaner than adding more rock/channel systems everywhere

I’m in the same situation. I have a puddle of water and not sure if I should connect to existing trench or use underground French drain

Build up shallow place in the grassy area with topsoil and sand. Slope it towards the drive way. Lay sod and water. Good luck
