The spring gardening series got under way at Tirlán CountryLife, Athboy, Laois, on April 11, where Diarmuid Gavin appeared alongside well-known garden designer Leonie Cornelius for a Q&A. Speaking about the event series, Diarmuid Gavin said: “The more accessible good gardening advice is, the better. Often people just need a bit of confidence and some simple guidance on what plants suit what conditions. That can be the difference between feeling unsure and really enjoying your garden.

“A balcony full of pots, a small patch of grass or a large garden all have huge potential. With a bit of know-how, any space can become somewhere lovely to spend time. These events, with Tirlán CountryLife horticulture experts, are a great chance for people to pick up practical tips, whether they are just starting out or looking for more specialist advice.”

Mary Brennan horticulture expert at Tirlán CountryLife Ballyhale said: “This is the perfect time of year to get out into the garden and prepare for the months ahead. Gardening is hugely rewarding, and we are looking forward to welcoming people in, answering their questions and helping them get the most from their space. We’ll look forward to meeting you in store!”
The events are free to attend and open to all.
