I recently moved and so I have been trying to find good spots for my plants. Why is my cactus changing color? What can I do to help her? Thanks. Also included pics of her from last year.

Stress response. Usually related to amount of light.

Means it right on the threshold of getting too much light, likely acclimating to it’s new location getting more light than the previous one. I’d keep an eye on it but looks like it’s enjoying the new spot.

Yes, I concur with the others. It’s called bronzing. If it’s currently in light from a southern exposure…you might want to try an east or west one with a shorter exposure to direct sunlight.

I get full sun here in San Francisco and all of my succulents and cacti have some degree of sun stress.

It looks like a fairy castle cactus in which case it likes indirect sun much better! Mine turned this color in full sun on the balcony, but I brought it inside by the window and now it’s the color of broccoli.
