Anybody else have the best grass in their neighborhood and the kids decide that’s where they’re going to hang out? Pretty much every day there’s kids on my lawn, sometimes random kids that I have no idea where they come from. Fills me with a sense of pride they like it so much lol.

Same here. Dont mind unless there is frost on the ground. Then again, that gives me something to work on haha

That’s some quality looking turf you got there.

We have a hill that apparently is the neighborhood bike hill in our backyard. It’s a love hate feeling.

Yep. Now with electric dirt bikes they ride through it too.

I dont get the sense that they care about the lawn though…

Tbh this would drive me wild, but then again I was raised respecting the property of strangers even if it’s “just grass”

I always member my friend’s military dad that threatened me with racial slurs when I was like 11 for riding my bike 4 feet on his lawn because the sidewalk ended in the middle of his front lawn. Since then, it’s always just stuck with me where 30 years later I don’t step foot on anyone’s lawn that I don’t know.

I thought for sure this would have been a post complaining about the kids playing.

The exact opposite, thank you sir!

    Let the kids be kids!

irks me too but more about respecting property. what’s wrong with their yard?

We do. I love it. Cul-de-sac where I think we are one of two actual homeowners. The other homeowners’ kids play around our yard every day, I think because our daughter used to play with them when she was younger. It’s nice that they still feel comfortable running around in our yard and they still come up constantly to ask if our daughter can play with them.

We put in a memorial for our son last year (a lovely flower bed with a sword in a stone) and they have been extremely respectful of it and the rest of our yard. We expected it to be destroyed in days but we’ve even seen them warning each other not to mess with it.

Great kids though I know not everyone is so lucky with respectful neighbors.

I had one kid asks my wife if he could take his sock and shoes off.
    She said, “well, yes!”
The kid asked, “Is there any stickers in this grass?”
Wife, “If you find stickers in this grass, I’ll give you $100.”
ALL the kids went looking for stickers. They were all disappointed too. Back to playing baseball they went.

Yep.. zoysia. They can’t seem to resist it.

Yep and we don’t even have kids. But I told my neighbors I don’t mind if they play because their front yards are small and all of our backyards are woods

Kids all play on our lawn as well. Its only annoying to me because often times there are dogs as well. And yep they pee in my yard and burn the grass.

The irony is those neighbors put up a fence for their yard and dog but the kids just run around outside of it because there is so much pee and poop in their yard.

    In general neighbors suck.

I don’t have a crisp lawn but my yard is the “capture the flag” lawn of neighborhood dogs and cats.
