Been 6 months since I’ve started caring for plants. All seem to be thriving, but this is my second pothos and my second pothos that looks like it’s circling the drain.

Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong for this guy?

It’s getting watered weekly. I actually watered it twice last week when it started yellowing. South/southwest facing window. Occasionally will bring it into my bathroom when I shower so it gets some extra humidity.

I love these plants so much, but just can’t keep them alive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I find that my pothos plants get root rot more than my others, and I water every two weeks or sometimes less. Try watering less + inspect the roots for rot! Make sure they’re in a well-draining pot! You got this!

Weekly might be too much depending on the soil mix. When a pothos wants water, the leaves will be noticeably less firm than when compared to an hour or so after watering.

The soil should dry between each watering. Also, if you want the leaves in the center to live, you have to get a plant light for it.

Plants need sooooooo much more light than you think. Barrina and Sansi have clip lights that are great for single plants. Amazing brands as well

Do you ever actually poke your finger deep into the dirt to see if it’s dry and actually needs watering? It’s very likely you’re overwatering it.

You might be watering too often. It doesn’t need to stay damp. You also need to fertilize on occasion.

Girl. I water my pothos monthly. I think you might be loving them to death.
