Sifted compost is going in the vegetable garden. Everything else will be mulch for the flower beds
Edit: added pictures of the compost. Wouldn't let me put them with the video. So far I left the mice or whatever they are alone. Haven't gotten that far down the pile

Mulching the little guys for the flower garden is absolutely diabolical
My wife has the ick for the obvious rodent presence in our compost. How concerned should i be about using it for a veggie garden?
One pile has been steady hot for a few weeks but the older cold pile at 80f has the rodents.
I think im just going to sift and add sand for some top soil for my lawn at this rate.
Disturbed the layers and now exposed them to piss. Rough day for them

Look like voles. Kinda cute.
So…. Are they into golden showers? Just kidding.
Oh sick free bone and blood meal!
They look like either shrews or moles. Hopefully you left them alone so that they can leave the nest themselves once big enough.
Mrs. Frisby’s great granddaughter- Daisy and her family.
Always love to see a black rat snake around the compost! They are the best rodent hunter you can have!
I love the lil’ dude top left who poke his head out, sniffs around, and then nopes out.
