I ordered 3 orchids:
Vanda barnesii – $65 USD
Paph philippinense laevigatum alba – $50 USD
Paph sanderianum – $95 USD
My issue is that during the email correspondence, they had stated that the barnesii is 2-3 years from flowering size and their order form also states "unless specified, all plants are mature flowering size." The paphs were definitely advertised as mature flowering size and did not have the "seedling" or "NFS/NBS" marker beside them.
I grow about 70+ orchids of different species and genera. After cleaning up the rotting and dead roots from the philippinense, I was left without any healthy roots. As for the sanderianum, I don't think what they sent me is a mature size at all. The longest leaf only spans up to 6". The barnesii is definitely not 2-3 years from a flowering size.
I've already asked them for a refund and they declined saying that all plants are viable. The sanderianum and barnesii might be viable but I definitely would not have ordered them if I had known they were only juvenile plants with that price tag.
I haven't had issues with other orchid nurseries refunding me when the plants don't arrive as expected. I also understand that these are very rare and highly sought after species. But isn't it reasonable to expect them to still send plants as they had advertised/described?

Definitely!
Orchids.com/Normans?
Just my opinion, based on my experiences with multifloral paph species, that is a $100 price tag sandy. They are sooo slow and 2in pots sell for $60+. This looks okay to me for $100. The root system also looks good which is more than what I can say from some that I have received….
I just looked on paph paradise, a 2.25″ pot is posted for $135. It is unreasonable to expect a blooming size sanderanium for $100. That’s more like a $200-300 plant at the minimum.
The root system on the phillipense is rough though. I would argue about that one.
Oof for that price for sure
Name and shame.
