    That’s where the little root deelies come out. In their natural habitat those will cling to the surface it’s climbing.

    Sorry I don’t have the correct scientific term for root deelies.

    Aerial roots. In a high humidity environment they’ll grow into long hairs (which you can cut off), in normal conditions they might stay just like that.
