Not sure what’s going on with our Rhododendron. It’s looking a little sad lately. The one right next to it seems to be thriving. Based in the Seattle area. Soil is good quality and relatively acidic, and they both get some direct sun in the afternoons and are watered well. Any thoughts or recommendations are greatly appreciated!

I’d recommend R/gardening, this audience may have advice but it tends to be more focused on indoor. Gardening would jump on this quickly I imagine.
There are a few reasons they maybe yellow, and it’s going to take some insight from you.
It could be a nutrient deficiency, my guess would be iron or nitrogen. It could also be over or under watering. If it’s planted too deeply that can also cause issues, but they also shed old leaves as well.
Editing to add: I see the leaves are turning lighter green/yellow but the veins are still green which may point to a soil pH imbalance but it still makes me think it’s a nutrient deficiency. Have you fertilized yet?
Second edit: I also believe these are planted to deeply, I don’t see the crown where the trunk and roots meet.
