Chives. When my parents moved, I dug a bunch of flowers out of their yard and one of these was chives. I didn’t know it at the time because I never seen chives flower

I am SO jealous. They’re huge and thick (pause). That means they’ve been growing for a bit.Â

Absolutely! And they will multiply! I have a ton in my vegetable garden and started adding it to my flower beds as well 😜

Yes! And like others have said, they’re edible! I used to be a fine dining chef and we would pay through our noses for these. Pull them apart and sprinkle them on salads or fish dishes. Enjoy 😊

my mom used to pick the flowers and make pink chive vinegar with them
My chives look like this right now; pretty much the same. As others have said, the flowers do add a nice onion punch to salads.

There is nothing you can do to kill them. We have a container on the front step that gets alternatively flooded and dried to desert conditions. Totally neglected. Returns every year.
