It doesn’t look like the roots are coming out of the bottom, so I am not sure a repot would fix it. I would, however, check what is going on with the roots there, might be corms or maybe something else. You can tell a lot about the plant’s health by its roots. What is the normal setup for your Alocasia? Any grow lights or natural light? How much is the humidity?
I’ve recently learned that droopy leaves like that can be from overwatering. Is the tissue soft where you wrapped it at the base?
