Money tree update after rinsing and changing water

Since my last post, I've changed the water twice. But now, since there are so many cauliflower looking growths in that area, im too afraid to get that fuzzy gunk out that's floating around near it. Just putting it under water broke off some of the white cauliflower things that I know are supposed to become roots.

Any tips on how to remove the fuzzy gunk without breaking off the white cauliflower looking growths?

Also, tips of cauliflowers are turning brown. Is that a good sign?
