Zone 6a and I started some of my pepper seedlings way too early. I have several jalapeños that are well over a foot tall in solo cups and some other varieties not far behind as well as a few tomato seedlings. I don’t have a greenhouse or great way to cover them in a raised bed and Mother’s Day is my traditional planting day. How will they fair in those colder nights?

Lol I’m in 6b and I too, am getting desperate. Started my seedlings too early and waiting for the week after Mother’s Day to plant everything out. Figures crossed we both get some warmer temps soon 🤞

I’m in 9a/b and have had mine outside when the nights have been mid 40s a couple months back and even a couple weeks ago too—they’ll be fine. They won’t spring into action until it’s warmer though. I usually harden them off to the cold nights too so they don’t go cold turkey into the 40s.

They’ll be fine, I left mine outside (I forgot to put them in) and it dropped to the 20s and they came out fine

Same! Upgraded my lights and started 3 weeks later than I did last year but still have gigantic plants stuck in solo cups. They are definitely stressed but just trying to figure out what I can do.

6a here as well, they’ll be fine. I did the last of my planting Sunday and generally call it good if night temps are staying above 40. My transplants already shot up a couple inches. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Those are basically my temps for most of June and I’ve already planted weeks before. They’ll be fine.

If you have spare bedsheets or can buy the newspaper, you have ways to cover them

In southwest Michigan. I feel your pain. I have greens in the garden but my shelf rack in the house is overflowing with plants now.
