While repotting my flytrap, a couple roots came off. I tried to be careful but I’ve never repotted a plant before :(. My plant savvy gf says the roots appeared to have root rot and that nothing of value was lost.
Most roots are intact. The roots that were lost were 2 of the 3 longest ones. One long one and a few medium ones still exist.
Idk what to do, should I be concerned? Give extra water? Water from the top for a while?

The roots aren’t a concern, your media may be though. What is it and did you wet it before you potted up the plant?

in my experience that just comes with the territory of repotting sometimes (though i am new to carnivorous plants so feel free to correct me, internet), your bigger concern should be rehydrating the potting medium since vfts like to stay damp (aka put it in a tray of distilled/rain water and keep it filled 24/7) and that soil looks very dry
